We got to spend Christmas with my family in Texas this year!!!! I was so excited to go home, I hadnt been there in over a year!
We had a ton of fun hanging out with the fam, opening presents, going to the zoo, galavanting around downtown :-P We played alot of Wii tennis, probably the favorite present of the TX clan.
Here are the fancy cowgirl chefs in their new aprons and festive boots!

The Orange Test
You are Apricot |
Soft and sweet, over time you let your provocative nature shine through. You are definitely unconventional, but you don't broadcast it. You offer people a fresh perspective on life - so fresh that it can be shocking! |

My Debut!
Tonight was my Mary Kay Debut party! I had a good turn out... two old roommates, one friend from highschool, a friend of the friend from highschool, a current classmate, and my MIL. We shared some stories, had some laughs, and saw some product. I made a little bit of money, which is nice, but I think the best part of having it was...
My house is spotless!!!
(except my bedroom which looks like hurricane Rita came through)
Here is one of my cute displays
Here are the brownie bites I made, and left over Halloween candy I served them
(speaking of Halloween candy, I have 3 BOXES of candy bars left over that I need to get rid of. We only had 6 trick-or-treaters!)
And here are the cute shoes I wore that I am very thankful to take off now
For everyone who did not get to attend (Val), I will be most happy to have a party for you and your friends at your very own house any Monday, Tuesday, or Saturday.

Halloween Fun
Halloween at Evans was quite the event! We all dressed up and had a pizza party. We also had trick-or-treat, but only 5 kids came in for candy.
I worked really hard to MAKE my own costume, and really wanted to win the grande prize (a trophy made up of tons of hair product, new scissor blades, combes, and clips) but alas I did not win. Here I am with the 1st place winner Cindy Lou Who... aka Malory
Second place was Sam who dressed as an Oompa Loompa, third was Timi as Miss Black America, shown in photo below:
ashley and i were the super heros!
I wore the super hero boots until my super feet could take it no more, then I changed into the converse (above) :-)

Gregs Working
Tonight Greg is staying in Heber :-( He had to work the 4 to midnight shift and then has to be back at good old Maverik at SEVEN for a saturday shift. He "usually" (this was his promised schedule when he got hired on) works Mon-Fri 7-3, but they have had much trouble keeping employees around. I think I know of 5 people that have quit in the last 2-3 months. So G has been stuck taking occasional saturday shifts, or having to work till 7 or 8. This is fine with me.
The problem started when he started having to work a few graveyards. Twelve AM to 8 AM. This is not fine. Because:
1. It throws off his sleeping schedule
2. That means when he is home during the day he is sleeping
3. When he should be entertaining me
4. When he wakes up he is cranky
And most importantly
5. I am very very afriad of the dark and I cannot sleep when he is not here.
I dont know why I am such a chicken, but the second the sun goes down I hear every noise in the neighborhood, and in my apartment, and in my head. And I always think of the worst possible explaination for any noise. Even ones that dont make any sense or arent real. Scary movies that I saw a hundred years ago pop up in my head (still have not gotten over scary aliens in SIGNS or the fraky girl in THE RING ). I dont even watch scary movies anymore because I am so tramatized by these ones.
I have only had to suffer through a handful of these nights, but tonight is one of them and I am not happy.
So what have I been doing to keep my mind off of scary things for the last THREE HOURS? I have been looking at parenting websites, and coming up with baby names, and how i am going to decorate my non-existent children's rooms.
We are not expecting, or thinking about trying, or (on G's end) thinking about thinking about trying, but I find it a good use of my time.
So at Babyzone.com, my new favorite website, I have been learning about epidurals, breast feeding, and fertility. I even took a quiz called Is He Ready to Be a Daddy? and guess what the results were??!
Your Score: 27
25-33 Congratulations, your spouse is ready to get in the game of parenting! The next step is to snuggle up to the sidelines and hope you get called into the game soon. Be sure to sign up for our preconception calendar . . . and practice, practice, practice!
The quiz asked things like How does he act around other kids/babies/animals, what are his friends like, how does he cope with stress, is he a good teacher. And I answered truthfully.
Now Im definatly going to have to let G know about his Awesome Score!
I also took a fun on called What's Your Baby-Naming Personality?
My results:
13-17 You are a traditional individualist. You seek to combine your past with your hope for the future when choosing a name for your child.
I think this accurately describes my non-existent baby naming style.
I like names like Lucy and James and Henry which seem pretty traditional to me. And I also like names like Max and Greyson (Grey for short!)Which I only know of a few people with those names, so theres some individualism for you!
p.s. Greg doesnt really like any of these names
Well now I have 15 minutes till my regular bed time so I am going to get ready for bed and attempt to actually fall asleep before I make myself cranky in the morning too.

I didnt want to be Bella
Which Twilight novel character are you?
You're Bella Swan - You are intelligent and kind but not quite sure what you want out of life yet. You have a feeling there's something more out there for you. You're attracted to those who are real and avoid the fake. Sometimes you're a bit accident prone, but your true friends will always be loyal to you and come to your aid when you need it.

birthday dinner (a week late :-) )
My sister in law Jessica made me a birthday dinner yesterday! It was a very tastey shrimp and lemon pasta with garlic bread and a lemon pound cake :-)
After dinner we made salsa with all the tomatoes from their garden
The Raspberry Shrimp Salad I made from a recipe i found in my Shape magazine :-)
Sadly it sounded and looked alot better then it taste
Greg and Bryce at Brad and Michelle's wedding
Elle and I at Ashley and Staytons wedding
The biggest dog Ive ever met
