Seems like every time I decide to post I get distracted changing up my background, or my header, and then Tatum wakes up.
Not today!
So Tate is 17 months now, and I decided it was high time she started sleeping through the night. We had her trained so well when she was tiny. With the help of Baby Wise she was sleeping through the night at 3 months. We had a good run of that, until we started moving all over the country this summer. And ever since then she has been getting up, usually once, sometimes twice a night.
Luckily she would go back down after we got her a bottle. But really 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep is so so soo much different then breaking the REM cycle once or twice.
I'd read on different websites that you just have to let them cry it out for a couple of nights. I have been wanting to do this for a long time, but Greg couldn't handle her crying. I don't know if he felt bad for her, or just wanted to get back to sleep himself as soon as possible. I finally convinced him that we just had to stick it out and do it.
My friend Mirium told me it would take 3 nights. Three nights, thats not so bad.
Thursday night - somehow she slept the entire night through. Weird.
Friday night - woke up at 1 and cried on and off (pretty hard) for a little over an hour. That wasn't too bad.
Saturday night - woke up at 4:30 and cried on and off for about 2 hours. That night sucked.
Sunday night, last night, a miracle - slept from her 8 o'clock bed time till 7:30 this morning! Or at least she didn't wake us up if she woke up.
I'm really hoping this means that the cycle is broken, and it wasn't just a random fluke like Thursday night. I'm going to keep telling myself it is. I guess we'll see tonight!

love the new header!!
Ah, awesome. I wish Lexi would sleep through the night!!! I'm not quite ready to have her "cry it out" yet. But, we're trying everything we can think of. :) Hopefully soon...
If not...KEEP DOING IT. It worked for Char, but took about 1 month of hard crying for 3-4 hours every night. AHHHHHHH! I pray your experience goes better :)
yay! I hope she does better!
